                                                       The Board will meet in the HAYWOOD COUNTY COURTROOM

                                                     of the HISTORIC COURTHOUSE at 215 N. Main Street, Waynesville

                                                                                           beginning at 5:30 p.m.

                                                         Citizens must sign up for public comment prior to 5:20 p.m. and are limited

                                                     to three (3) minutes. Audience members may not address the Board at any time

                                                                     during deliberations unless recognized by the Chairman.

                                             a.  Special Revenue Funds – Service Districts - $691,259 – To increase the budget to cover the

                                                  additional amount of taxes expected to be collected through June 30. These must be paid out

                                             b.  General Fund – Health & Human Services – Public Assistance - $159,657 state and federal

                                                  reimbursements for administration costs of Child Development Center program –

                                                  ATTACHMENT 5

 

                                             c.  General Fund – Health & Human Services – Social Services -$ 6,076 – to recognize

                                                  additional federal TANF funds designated for County Child Welfare Program improvement

                                                  resources – ATTACHMENT 6

 

                                             d.  General Fund – Health & Human Services – Public Health -$ 20,000 – to recognize

                                                  additional federal and state funds to support the purchase, implementation, and customization

                                                  of the Electronic Health Records system – ATTACHMENT 7

 

                                             e.  General Fund – Health & Human Services – Social Services -$ 40,000 – to reallocate federal,

                                                  state and local funds from Foster Care cost of care that will not be needed this fiscal year,

                                                  into line items for the purchase of vehicles that are primarily used by the Child Welfare staff

                                             f.  General Fund – Human Services – JCPC - $7,939 – To appropriate additional funding from

                                                  the state for the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council programs, and the request for the county

                                                  match of 20% - ATTACHMENT 9

                                       Request approval of resolution for the sale of property located at 450 Pigeon Street to the Pigeon

                                       Community Development Center in the amount of one dollar – Ira Dove, County Manager –

                                      1. Presentation of Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Budget – Ira Dove, County Manager ATTACHMENT

 

                                      2. Request approval of the Town of Maggie Valley, Town of Canton and Lake Junaluska

                                      3. Request approval of contract with Bunnell Lammons Engineering to perform construction

                                          materials testing and quantity analysis of the Crabtree Convenience Center in the amount of

                                          $8,180 to be paid from project funds – David Francis, Solid Waste/Tax Administrator –

                                      4. Request approval of budget amendment to appropriate the amount of the contract for the

                                          materials testing for the Hwy. 209 Convenience Center - $8,180 from contingency in the Hwy.
